Hi all!

I have been long time reader but finally registered. I have owned and been working on several older VE style TDIs but lately i stepped towards big unknown aka PD130 Passat

Things i have worked on so far:

- Rain/AC water leaks
- Noisy fuel pump
- Vacuum leaks everywhere
- Oil leak from boost pipe quick fittings

Not too bad for being 448k kilometers.

Future plans include rebuilding the cylinder head (camshaft damage), maybe PD150 injectors and KKK BV43

hello, i just bought an 04 jetta bew pd, 180k miles, with the p0299 code and derate, it looses power almost immediately when accelerating after cycling the key, ive tried almost everything so far, replaced the n75 valve, maf sensor, map/boost sensor, pressure tested for boost leaks, checked for vacuum leaks, checked activation and adjustment of the vane actuator, turbo seems to be producing boost, im at a loss of what else could be the issue, I searched all the p0299 threads, but all I can...

Replacement DMF kit for MkV with DSG?

$

I've been looking for replacement kits for the dual-mass flywheel on my 2006 TDI Jetta, with DSG. I haven't taken it apart yet to see if it is a Sachs or a LuK.

Are the two brands interchangeable in this regard? Or do I need to take a look at what I have first, before ordering a kit?

I want to find a better DMF than what came with the car, since it has been making some noises since the 40K mark, 90 thousand miles ago! The good news is that it has lasted and not gotten much worse, but the...

I Have a 2010 sportwagen with 140K on it. The car went into limp mode and died on the roadside and had to be towed home.
Took to my mechanic and the fault codes showed the HPDP fuel pressure was to low. They pulled the N valve and there were aluminum shavings in the port. They purged the entire fuel system, cleaned the injectors, fuel canister etc. etc. and installed a Genuine Vw HPDP.
The car still does not run! Injection pump timing is fine, Both pre-pumps tested out fine.
His Ross Tech...

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I currently drive a 2006 Touran with BKE motor. (1.9 PD 105hp). I consider myself a hobbyist and have a few years experience with VAG diesels. Most of my experience is with the 5 cylinder diesels found in the Transporter/Eurovan, but I am trying to learn more about the 4 cylinders.

I have found the forum helpful especially with my recent camshaft change on the Touran.
Cheers.

Hi there, i have an 05 jetta and i cant seem to get any heat and its driving me crazy!! Ive just done the timing belt and water pump, new thermostat and housing and still no heat. Ive checked the blend doors and the foam looks good and the doors move freely. I flushed the heater core and water seems to flow through it fine , it wasn't all grungy coming out. The upper rad hose gets warm the bottom stays cool so the thermostat seems to be working. I stumped on what else it could be. Any ideas...

Hi everyone, I joined this forum a few years ago and have been lurking, but thought that it's time to make it official:
I'm from Central PA and having been driving an '06 Jetta TDI BRM for the past 3 years, my first diesel. Had a 2005.5 Jetta Gasser before that.
I'm a cheapskate & do all my own work so I've found this forum to be a big help, hopefully I can share some of what I've learned with the group.
Cheers!

hi Everbody,

i have a vw touareg v10 5.0 diesel 2008. i have read a lot of different sites but none of them explain specific about the vw touareg v10 5.0 diesel 2008. all i could find is about the 2009-and up models. i figured out that my car has a DPF, but they are not explaining about the fluid to use. i have read on this site that my car does not use AD Blue. Can somebody please tell me what fluid to use? and where to refill it?

greetings,
Marly

DPF EGR Delete for 2015 Golf TDI

So I got a 2015 VW TDI Golf S and I got the DPF EGR delete, straight pipe version from RawTek. Do I have to do any kind of tune with the install so that it doesn’t go into limp mode? I know it’s probably worth the time later for DSG and ECU but can my car function without it til I get to a Malone tuning dealer? Thanks in advance!!

Hello, I just wanted to weigh in on the excellent DIY article on turbo removal and replacement in the Mk5 section. I just replaced the bad turbo in my daughters 2009 Sportwagen in the car while on rhino ramps, it was not easy I would rate it a 4 or 5 on a scale of five due to being done "in car" (I spent at least 16 hours on this job and consider myself a better than average DIYer that said I'm 56 yrs old require reading glasses and am a bit grumpy about laying under car, still I think I...

This is the OEM Turbo Assembly from a 2009 VW Jetta SportWagen with 167,00 miles I believe it is a Borg Warner CR140. Includes; Turbo (impeller vanes on intake side are damaged), Exhaust manifold (looks to be in good condition no crack, VNT actuator (was working when removed, tested with mighty vac), Turbo Outlet Dampener (not sure how it could go bad.) Thinking someone may want to try a cartridge replacement or just need a replacement exhaust manifold. asking $75.00 + shipping for...

Hello, I have put miles on my parents... then sisters... then my 2005 Jetta TDI since it was purchased new. It currently has 257k miles on it. It's showing its age, but still holds up. I enjoy searching through posts on this site to help me answer questions that I have come upon. The last service that a friend did for me and I helped out was the timing belt. My next immediate task will be replacing the struts. I'm happy with the knowledge base that is found on the TDI...

2006 VW Jetta TDI running rough with 5 codes thrown

I recently got a 2006 VW Jetta TDI from my neighbor since it was running rough. Idles horribly, really rough until 2,000 rpm and then runs great from 2,000-4,000. Runs fine once it starts getting up to speed, but has a very hard time starting from a dead stop. Threw an OBD2 scan tool on the car to find the codes P0671, P0672, P0673, P0674, and P0101 thrown. The P0671-P0674 codes are saying that glow plugs 1-4 have an open circuit. P0101 is for the Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit A. Any ideas?
