04 jetta bew p0299 derated, help!

hello, i just bought an 04 jetta bew pd, 180k miles, with the p0299 code and derate, it looses power almost immediately when accelerating after cycling the key, ive tried almost everything so far, replaced the n75 valve, maf sensor, map/boost sensor, pressure tested for boost leaks, checked for vacuum leaks, checked activation and adjustment of the vane actuator, turbo seems to be producing boost, im at a loss of what else could be the issue, I searched all the p0299 threads, but all I can...

Direction of actuator operation 04 bew pd

Could someone please tell me the correct operation direction for the stock turbo actuator on an 04 bew pd tdi, when vacuum is applied vanes open, when released the vanes close and the turbo spools. someone “replaced” the actuator on my kp31 and I believe it is causing my p0299 issues, and thus the reason the wiki didn’t help me. they WELDED THE ACTUATOR TO THE TURBO!!!! https://ibb.co/gfJURz

hello, i just rescued an 04 jetta tdi bew pd from the local junkyard, that the previous owner completely abused, exhaust has been replaced with 1.25”, incorrect wastegate welded onto turbo, wrong n75 valve, abs lights on, p0299, etc... plans are Malone stage 3, and gt1759v, 3” exhaust, dual plenum intake and egr delete, upgraded smic and plumbing, possibly more

Hey guys really hope someone can help. So after completing a water pump and cambelt change the engine is having not behaving it's starts up first time every time idle is near dead steady...the symptoms are in 1st and 2nd generally drives alright not great but alright how ever loses revs after 3k and maxes at 4k, sometimes on start up even after a lengthy drive it drives perfect but then shit......in 3rd is fine again not as it should be but fine driving round town but when i put...

Hi everyone, my baby is a bora she started life as a pd100, now she's a pd150 mapped to 200. I love her but she definitely has come with problems and have sunk alot of money just to keep her on the road. Misses says way way more than I should of done and i would probably agree haha. Have a few more plans but really need to get engine running properly first. This looks like a good forum and looking forward to get stuck in.

Hi there, new member...first time posting.

I own a 2002 B5.5 Passat Estate. 130 PD (AWX) TDI engine. 5 speed manual. 191K miles.

Clutch was on its way out the other week (slipping badly). I put it into a local independant garage I've used before. Got car back with new clutch and flywheel fitted.

Noticed almost straight away gears were grinding/crunching going from 1st into 2nd...and sometimes from 2nd into 3rd.

Put it back into same garage the next day and they took a look at it....

Hi All,

Am from the UK and i've got a VW Golf Mk4 1.9 TDI hatchback 2002 model. I've noticed that my car has lost considerable power whilst driving it and i recently scanned it with a VCDS cable and i got the following fault code come up:

17964 - Charge Pressure Control: Negative Deviation
P1556 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

I did some searching on google for the possible causes and the one of the first things i want to check are the vacuum lines to check for any leaks or split...

I joined the TDI forum this summer when I had a turbo control valve problem, but I didn't file a new member introduction. I have a 2010 TDI Jetta Sportwagen. We're up to 190k miles on it now. We're working with a lawyer in VA to obtain a better settlement on the emissions lawsuit. Slow but steady progress there.

The air conditioner went out on a trip recently, and I'm trying to fix that now. (No HVAC faults in vagCOM) I haven't found much in the way of how-to information on...

Weird buzzing sound in the cabin in my 2015 Passat TDI

So, a few days ago when I had the radio low, I noticed a strange buzzing sound inside the cabin. I turned the radio off, and sure enough, a continuous buzz. This happens when the car is cold, hot, air on/off, etc. Can't get it to stop and getting a bit louder and very annoying! I have a service appointment tomorrow and will let you all know what VW says, but wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar? Also, on another note, I received my "Customer Loyalty" Visa card and $500...

Standard setup replacement shocks/springs recommendations??

Hi

Can someone please please tell me what shocks and springs I should purchase to replace my worn out ones for Mk4 Golf GT TDI 130 PD. I want the original/standard setup and comfort with same ride height but I want good quality and long lasting without spending too much.

I’ve seen Bilstein b4 mentioned a few times which I feel might be my best option but I’m not completely sure if their the most suitable for me and I am not sure how to get a set of springs to match whatever shocks I get...

As per subject I've got a 2005 Passat TDI Wagon with some braking issues and I'm trying to diagnose but could use some help.

Car brakes great from speed. Where it becomes problematic is in slow traffic or navigating parking lots. It seems to repeated brake pressing without much time in between results in a firmer brake pedal feel, presumably because of the low vacuum available to help the brake booster.

If I've read the vacuum diagrams correctly the Vacuum reservoir is on the far side of...

I am new here as a member but longtime reader. Very helpful place for diy lovers... keep on the good work!
My ride is a 2001 seat toledo with asv engine code and manual transmission. It's a tdi with 110 horses..
I only have it for about 2 months now and i had a problem with ccolant sensor g62 in the engine section in vcds (address 01). While trying to replace it i broke the housing where it seats, ended up buying a replacement housing and sensor (green). After fitting of them the code...
